Ula and Kelly- Glasgow Elopement Wedding

Note: These photographs are from a ‘styled shoot’, organised and arranged at Photography Farm’s amazing ‘Thrive 2023’ event in Glasgow.

Styled shoots sometimes get a bad rep, but for me- they are an amazing way to get energised, learn from, and collaborate with talented people to produce fantastic end goals for everyone involved. I was absolutely buzzing after not only the shoot, but the whole 2 day event. Once every so often, I like to take time to do events like these- it’s about investing time and money in myself to get inspired and learn as much as I can. WINNER.

On this shoot, I got to work with the amazing Rebecca Carpenter, and also as a bonus- hung out with Taylor Jackson as he videoed the session for the event. I also shot with him earlier in the day, which you can read about soon. These are two photographers at the top of their game, so it was an amazing opportunity.

So, onto Ula & Kelly, two of the coolest, and most in love people I’ve ever photographed. A real couple, with a real story and it was amazing to hear about it as we began the shoot.

Ula and Kelly met in a club randomly on an evening out, hit it off and then lost each other, with no contact numbers, it didnt look good they’d ever see each other again.

Kelly, well she wasn’t for giving up and started checking everywhere online, social media, anywhere that could be checked. It didnt look good, Ula was on holiday and maybe she had gone home and that was that. BUT- a few days later, Kelly opened her dating app- and there was Ula’s face, smiling back at her. And even better still, the location showed she was less than a MILE away. Turns out she was just round the corner, and they’ve been together ever since.

Isn’t that such a cool story?

Kelly and Ula got each other ready, before ‘eloping’ to the streets of Glasgow.

I photographed it as I always do, in a natural, discreet way- allowing the photos to tell the story.

Mind and keep scrolling through, and you’ll see the full story. It’s worth it, trust me.

If you are getting married, eloping and this is your vibe, click that button!

And, with that, they were ready.

And then, it was time to elope on the rainy streets of Glasgow.

I will let the photos tell the rest of the story- make sure you get to the end for the shoot credits.

Huge thanks to the amazing team who arranged the event and the shoot. Make sure you check em all out!
