Day 8:Friday March 27th 2020

Day 8, and again off to work. Up early, saw the kids briefly and left Alyson snoozing before heading to work. Snapped a pic of the Gourock ferry. Looked like a nice day.

Got to work, and heard the news that we’ll soon be mobilised to help the strain on the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic. Won’t type the details here, I’m sure most people know by seeing the news. All of the guys on station knew it was coming, and we all agreed that we need to help when the time comes. Crazy times we are living in, is a phrase I am hearing more and more of.

After work got home to be greeted by the girls eating ‘biscetti’ which for you and I is spaghetti!

Had a fun end to the evening with a bunch of photographer friends, in an online pub quiz, again facilitated via the ‘Zoom’ app and hosted by my good friend Steve Vaughan. Was really good fun, we all had beers, my round was James Bond themes- which seemed to go down well.

Oh, and Alyson and I won the quiz. Beezer. Thank you to everyone for cheering me up!

Looking forward to a day off with the kids and Alyson tomorrow.
